NAUTOR SWAN 601 (2004) Usato a Latina

The Swan 601 is a high-performance sailing yacht – very light for her size and designed to sail at high speeds. She embodies the Nautor Swan vision of a top-class IRC design Racer/Cruiser. She utilises the most advanced building techniques and materials, without compromising on the classic lines and beautifully crafted interiors, which are associated with every Swan built. ‘Les Amis’ has been carefully designed in terms of deck layout, exterior finish and interior details to provide a striking looking boat which races competitively under IRC as well as providing a comfortable home whilst cruising (and racing) offshore.

INTERIOR GENERAL
Lightweight carbon floorboards in clear coated carbon, providing access to the bilge.
Full spare set of 10mm painted marine ply floorboards for racing mode.
Inside of lockers – black clear coated carbon.
Topsides where visible lined with lightweight white composite panels.
Overhead lined with removable panelling.
Upholstery – spring mattresses for fixed berths and thick foam mattresses for pipe berths.
Textile covers with Velcro zippers for berths and settees.

Forward Cabin
Double berth on centre, with drawers in the aft end of the bed (these were built in later) – the bed and the drawers are all completely removable for racing if wished (mostly though they sailed with the cabin intact). Seats either side aft of bed. On the starboard side is a vanity desk unit with mirror under the lid and a removable stool.
Hanging locker aft of vanity unit. Watertight collision bulkhead forward of the bed.
Sony stereo with CD changer unit and two speakers.
On the port side is an ensuite private forward washroom area. This is fitted out with a shower, teak floor grating,
Stainless washbasin, mirror, lockers, and a Tecma black carbon marine toilet.

Saloon
L-sofa in saloon on port side. Settee (berth) on starboard side. Cushion / headboards on the forward bulkhead both sides. Locker with acrylic shelves for bottles and glasses on starboard side of saloon, aft of which is a wet locker. Black covers for chain-plates. Carbon saloon table with two teak removable chairs.

26-inch LCD TV on the starboard side (runs off the invertor) – this is also removable for racing.
Sony stereo with CD changer and speakers in saloon and cockpit
2 x overhead carbon handrails. Ocean Air blinds on overhead hatch,

Galley
Located aft of the saloon on port side in the passage to the aft cabin.
The galley has ample workspace and storage. The work tops are Black Corian. Teak units.
There is an insulated and sheathed space for stove with extractor hood over. Equipment includes: -
Four burner Force 10 gas stoves with oven, gimballed and provided with fiddles.
Stainless steel sinks. Garbage container.
Front loaded refrigerator and a top loaded freezer (both DC driven)
Lockers behind sinks with plate racks for draining and storage.
Quooker ST, 800 W 230 V installed in galley for instant hot water.

Guest / Day washroom area
Aft of the saloon on starboard side a door leads to the guest / day head area, which is fitted out with a stainless washbasin, mirror, shower, lockers, teak floor gratings and a Tecma black carbon marine toilet.

Aft Cabins
Aft of the galley to port and aft of the guest head on starboard a doorway leads into the two aft cabins.
Each cabin has: a twin V berth and also a “pipe cot” over with an adjustable rope tackle system attached to the hooks in the ceiling; also, a seat and lockers. There is a removable panel for starboard cabin to make it private from the chart area (which is between the two cabins)

Navigation area
The chart table is situated on the centre line between the two aft cabins and faces forward.
Carbon fibre bulkhead panel behind the nav-seat, provided with shelves.
Instruments and radios, including B&G Hercules 2000, VHF, Iridium, Plotter and PC
Storage in the seat, and behind the seat for charts.

RIG
Hall Spars mast and spars built of carbon fibre and clear coated.
Double spreader semi-fractional rig with discontinuous shrouds and 20 deg. swept spreaders.
Two carbon fibre spinnaker poles and one carbon fibre jockey polke.

Mast
Of oval section, with external track / luff groove for mainsail and trysail track.
Tapered masthead with 2:1 main halyard sheave.
Jib and spinnaker halyard sheaves.
Hall Spars’ burgee stick with fittings, moulded in the carbon masthead, (reach above top mast)
Hall Spars’ standard 5 display bracket:
The mast is stepped through the deck onto a carbon fibre mast step.
Tie rods from mast collar to step.
Spinnaker pole track
The racing headstay has a Tuff luff with twin groves for changing jibs.
Harken roller furling with furling line.


Rig Hydraulics
2 x Navtex four-function one-gauge System 50 central control panel with two-speed pump in aft cockpit for backstay, outhaul, Cunningham and Vang.
Hydraulic mast jack with spacers and removable manual pump.
The mainsheet pedestal has a rotary pump connected via a bevel box with a disconnect. This pump controls all the function on the main control panel, Vang, outhaul and backstay.

Standing rigging
The V1’s, D1’s, D2’s, V2/D3’s headstay and backstay are PBO manufactured by Future Fibres, Dec 2006.
There is a complete set of spare rod rigging manufactured by Navtec.
